WHAT IS HOLISTIC THERAPY?

Holistic Therapy is a holistic approach to healing, which through an ongoing journey of discovery, brings focus and balance to the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspects of a person. This journey involves seeking the tools that will assist the individual to attract their intended goals, develop self-empowerment and achieve wholeness within their being.

 

In our world today, the impact of social, religious and cultural conditioning has caused us to inherit deep core wounds, limiting our capacity to experience profound joy, bliss and inner peace. Simultaneously, we are exposed to a multitude of positive and negative energetic influences on a daily basis. Some are created within ourselves, through habitual thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and others are from a host of environmental sources. These are not only accumulated from interactions with people and the events in our immediate lives, they are also largely built up through the weather, sound/noise, chemicals, toxins, water and food quality. All these factors combined play a significant role in creating our state of health and well-being.

If the energies we encounter are positive, we experience them as life-sustaining and enriching. When reversed, however, they can cause a surplus of stresses within our energy systems, weakening us and often leading to serious diseases and imbalances. As a result of these imbalances, almost all of us suffer from inner fragmentation (mental, physical and/or spiritual illnesses) which manifest themselves as chronic disease, abuse, depression, anxiety, addiction and identity disorders, to name a few.

 

A holistic healer recognises that for true healing to take place, the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of a person must be considered and worked with simultaneously, therein, a range of complimentary modalities are employed and utilised within the healing process. This is to provide a greater assessment of all related causes of imbalance, a more comprehensive treatment of inner fragmentation and the harmonizing of mind, body and spirit.
